Teaching acoustics or music and want to demonstrate harmonic synthesis? Want an audio oscillator on your iPad? Then HarmSynLite provides a free tool for your iPad.
The is the Lite version of HarmSyn and it has most of the features of the full version but it is limited in its range of adjustment and control. Harmonic Synthesis allows sounds to be created by mixing harmonics, varying the fundamental frequency (f0) (pitch) and adding tremolo and vibrato. The limitations of the Lite version are:
f0 limited to 20 Hz->1 kHz (full: 20 Hz->20 kHz)
f0 control only linear (full is logarithmic or linear)
8 harmonic sliders (full has 16)
no buttons for setting harmonic levels as decibels per octave.
